For example, we will often assign more than one of the firm's defense attorneys to review a client's case at no additional cost to our client. We believe this practice helps to bring a better understanding of our client's case, while expanding the understanding of the possible solutions that might exist. By having multiple attorneys within the firm review a case, it prevents blind sides that can occur when only one attorney is looking at the facts and issues surrounding an arrest.
With regard to experience and qualifications, each of our attorneys has several years of experience in criminal defense, and brings a broad range of knowledge to the table, including experience as former prosecutors, a former Police Chief, and one has experience as a judge. We believe that by having attorneys that understand different perspectives within the criminal justice system helps us in identifying, and then addressing, the key concerns of all the parties involved in resolving a criminal case. Moreover, the firm requires our criminal defense lawyers to have a certain number of years within the practice of criminal defense and insist each attorney working on a case have actual criminal jury trial experience. In addition, the firm requires its criminal defense attorneys to take a specific number of continuing legal courses each year focused solely on criminal defense matters.
We believe that prompt communication with our clients is essential to a healthy , and our goal is to return client phone calls the same day they are received. When that is not possible, such as when our attorneys are in court for the entire day, we will have someone from our office contact you the next day to give you a status on your call.
